Hull City Council
Location
Hull, East Yorkshire | United Kingdom
Job description
We would love to hear from you if you have a genuine passion and commitment for making a positive difference to people’s overall wellbeing and welfare. The Council is serious about the health and wellbeing of its workforce, and the residents of Hull, and this role provides an excellent opportunity to make a difference by the development and promotion of good health initiatives.
This role sits within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team within the Organisation Development (OD) & Human Resources (HR) team where you will work collaboratively with OD & HR, Health and Safety Officers and Occupational Health Nurses who will provide you with the required professional support to lead in the implementation of the council’s Employee Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy.
Our goal is to have a workforce that is engaged, feels inclusive, safe and healthy and this requires you to gain an understanding of the health profile of the organisation. This presents a great opportunity to prioritise and implement appropriate initiatives that will have a positive change and impact.
The Council already supports a range of initiatives, and this role will continue and develop further the great work that is already in place. You would hold the responsibility for the co-ordination of activities of our workplace “champions” who have a focus on Mental Health First Aid, Cancer, Carers, Neurodiversity and Menopause, increasing employee engagement and awareness.
If this sounds like a role you would be interested in and are qualified to a degree level in a related subject, as an example behavioral psychology or Mental Health, then an application from you would be welcomed.

We are committed to increasing the diversity, equity, and inclusion within our workforce to represent the people we serve and build an environment in which everyone can feel like they belong. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
We reserve the right to amend the dates associated with this advert, which may include closing the advert early where required.
The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.
