Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

• Salary £11 per hour

Company Overview:
Our clients Ofsted Outstanding day nursery is a bilingual English and Spanish setting giving the children a unique opportunity to learn both languages and benefit from all of the advantages of being in a bilingual environment (speaking Spanish is not necessary though!)
This creative and innovative setting uses loose parts, open-ended resources and natural materials, enabling staff to create engaging and stimulating learning opportunities for the children.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Work as part of a team to maintain a positive, safe and engaging environment, whilst communicating effectively to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and giving support to other team members when needed
• Support the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring all children receive the best opportunities for learning and development
• Engage children in play, both indoors and outdoors
• Build excellent relationships with children, their parents/carers and other staff members
• Be an effective key person, maintaining accurate and effective observations
• Assist with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the setting
• Promote nursery values and follow policies & procedures

Essential Skills and Requirements:
• A passion to work with young children
• The ability to work as part of a team and to use own initiative
• Good knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
• Enthusiastic & motivated
• Patient & empathetic
• Reliable & punctual
• A minimum level 2 childcare qualification is required for this role
• DBS
