Key Responsibilities:
- Lead risk workshops, ensuring the identification and assessment of project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive risk registers, tracking and monitoring risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Utilise IT and risk software systems to analyse data and identify potential risks
- Interpret technical and cost information to assess the impact of risks on project deliverables
- Conduct constructability assessments to identify potential risks and propose solutions
- Assist in problem-solving efforts, providing expertise in risk management techniques
- Stay updated on industry best practises and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in utilities risk management, with a strong understanding of industry-specific challenges and regulations
- Ability to lead and facilitate risk workshops, effectively engaging stakeholders from different disciplines
- Proficient in the use of IT and risk software systems to analyse and manage risks
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and propose innovative solutions
- Excellent leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
- Ability to interpret technical and cost information, assessing the impact of risks on project deliverables
- Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Networking and collaboration skills, able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
