Benefact Group

Location

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Duration: Permanent

Location: Gloucester

Job ref: 201818

About the role

Ecclesiastical Insurance , who are proudly part of  Benefact Group , are looking for an Underwriter  to join the   Schemes department in the  Gloucester  office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team at Ecclesiastical . The Schemes Department at Ecclesiastical underwrites a broad range of commercial schemes, providing delegated authority to our broker partners. With a risk appetite that is wider than Ecclesiastical’s standard niche offering you could be involved with schemes that cater for nurseries, holiday homes or even farms.

The successful applicant will be part of the underwriting team. Our broker partners already hold a degree of delegated authority so you will act as a referral point for them on the more complex and unique risks. In a varied role the underwriting team are also involved with auditing brokers and building relationships for profitable, strong and long lasting schemes.

We are looking for an applicant who as a minimum has a strong commercial underwriting background (farming underwriting experience would be advantageous) and the drive to learn the aspects of the role that are new to them.
