An excellent opportunity to join a leading shipping business, you will be responsible in monitoring vessel maintenance, assisting with marine compliance, risk assessment, and reporting.
Role responsibilities:
• To provide full operational support to the office for all vessels under its control.
• Manage certain defined vessel operations as per changing operational circumstances.
• Rope Management for mooring lines, towing ropes and associated equipment across the fleet.
• Provide close support to vessels crews on all operational and customer issues.
• Close liaison with Flag and Classification societies on related surveys, documentation.
• Assist in ensuring budgetary targets on operations are met.
• Take initiative for proper and timely action in all respects and make suggestions for improvements and savings within the area of responsibility.
• Render a prompt and professional service to internal and external customers, ensuring proper handling of all operational matters and associated areas.
• Timely and accurate submission of reports / information concerning area of responsibility to relevant persons, departments and ports within the operation.
The successful candidate will have experience within the marine industry, ideally with OOW and STCW qualification.
