We are currently looking for a Part Time Cleaner who can join our team to work for the Merthyr Tydfil Council. To provide a high quality cleaning service that includes tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying bins in accordance with Council recycling procedures, cleaning and polishing surfaces.

Role: Part Time Cleaner

Location: Civic Centre primarily but could be other Council buildings as required

Rate of Pay: £11.18 per hour weekly pay

Shift: 2 hours a day, Mon - Fri. Flexible morning/afternoon

Job Responsibilities:

• To carry out duties commensurate with the grade as reasonably requested by the manager
• Empty all bins in accordance with recycling procedures
• Report non-compliance of recycling procedures to line manager
• To carry out Health & Safety responsibilities in accordance with the Authority's Health & Safety policies
• Notify administration when materials are running low
• Dust/polish all surfaces including equipment

Experience:

• Ability to demonstrate the use of appropriate cleaning methods, materials and equipment
• Ability to work in an organised and methodical way
• Positive approach to customer care and service delivery
