Job Description

2H Offshore are looking to add a Senior Engineer to their expanding team in Aberdeen (other locations may be considered). As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of or lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams (of typically up to 5 people) across a wide variety of projects, encompassing engineering design and analysis at the conceptual, feasibility, FEED, detailed design, and/or installation stages of riser and conductor projects.

You will take a leading role on these projects and develop strong and close working relationships with our engineering team and our clients founded on a personal approach and technical excellence. You will take joint responsibility to lead, support and develop engineers to deliver the technical excellence 2H expect across a wide variety of riser and renewable projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 Masters degree, preferred in Naval Architecture, Hydrodynamics or Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Civil)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the offshore wind or oil and gas field
• Track record of undertaking either riser analysis, mooring analysis, conductor analysis, installation analysis or similar in OrcaFlex or Flexcom.
• Ability and enthusiasm to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
• Ability to work independently, strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation as well as collaboratively within a team
• Capability to oversee and review dynamic structural based design work, interpreting results to form sound engineering judgements and recommendations
• Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal forms, with highly effective inter-personal skills supported by good attention to detail
• Desire and ambition to achieve both technical and personal excellence by committing to personal and professional development
