Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality geography lessons that meet the needs of students and the curriculum requirements.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters a love for geography among students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to the needs of individual students, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to succeed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to develop integrated curriculum plans and cross-curricular initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, keeping them informed of student progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- A degree in Geography or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Experience teaching geography at the primary or secondary level.
- Ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans to cater to diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school community.
