Job Title: English Language Teacher (Private School, Year 7-11, GCSE Cohort)
Location: Rainhill
Start Date: September 2024

Axcis Education seeks a dynamic and dedicated English Language Teacher to join a thriving and supportive team as part of a beautiful private institution for the upcoming academic year. Surrounded by a picturesque location the role is a maternity cover working with Year 7-11 students, with a focus on the GCSE cohort. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment allowing for a safe and stimulating environment to be created in the absence of the class teacher. With a student body eager to learn and develop their skills we are looking for an enthusiastic English Language teacher to help guide, support and nurture the development of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach English Language to students in Year 7-11, with a specific focus on preparing the GCSE cohort.
• Conduct engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum delivery.
• Build upon and nurture students’ current knowledge
• Take part in staff training and CPD
• Follow school policies and procedures
• Liaise with parents and staff to encourage a positive learning environment

Requirements:
• Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a relevant degree in English or a related field.
• Experience teaching English Language to secondary school students, particularly within the GCSE framework.
• Familiarity with the UK national curriculum and assessment procedures.
• Proven track record of positive behaviour management
• Fully enhanced DBS on the update service
