Job description

We currently have exciting opportunities for Despatch Operative to join the team in West Bromwich (site D).

The hours of work and shift patterns are:

Monday till Friday 5.45am - 1.45pm

The rate of pay is £11.14

Main Responsibilities

• Loading Pallets
• Loading vehicles
• Unloading vehicles
• Checking consignments
• Ensuring any discrepancies are identified and recorded.
• Keeping accurate and legible records
• Logging on to scan guns and scanning the product.
• Palletising product from dispatch bays
• Supporting the Dispatch supervisor as we have a reduced team in
• Helping assist the Dispatch supervisor look after areas and lines.

The Ideal Candidate

• Basic numeracy ability
• Able to manage heavy loads and complete manual handling activities competently
• Team player and willing to help out and learn new skills.
• Good timekeeping and attendance.
• Previous experience in a food factory environment would be beneficial.
• A flexible approach and outlook to work.
• The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a small team, be of strong character and be able to make decisions.
