Master’s in teaching, education, instructional design, curriculum and instruction, educational administration, instructional technology, or related area.
General Summary
Provides leadership, consultation, and support for faculty development initiatives. Identifies education technology needs and provides multimodal learning opportunities for faculty. Collaborates to develop, coordinate, and facilitate college-wide faculty development. Provides direct support to faculty and institutional administrators in the design and development of courses in all modalities, the use of instructional technology systems, and the application of sound pedagogical and instructional design principles. Works with faculty at all instructional locations to plan, develop, and implement learning opportunities that help students achieve success. Supports faculty in the implementation of Quality Matters standards for courses and program materials. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures.

Essential Functions
Essential Functions
Curriculum – Instruction – Assessment:
- Collaborates with faculty, instructional administration, and appropriate external stakeholders to develop quality, aligned, and articulated curriculum and courses in all modalities.
- Communicates clearly and productively with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Instills best practices and guidelines for curriculum and course quality, college wide.
- Provides guidance on curriculum development, review, and revision processes.
- Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, state and federal regulations, and internal expectations.
- Facilitates course design and development processes.
- Actively utilizes technology integration and educational best practices in delivery of instruction, including teaching up to one course per semester using a college-wide curriculum.
Essential Functions
Professional Development Leader:
- Maintains awareness of educational best practice, emerging technologies, and new potentials in educational technology.
- Cultivates collaborative and professional working relationships with colleagues, faculty, staff, and instructional administrators to ensure delivery of high-quality education.
- Responds promptly to students’ and employees’ inquiries.
- Collaborates with the Director of Educational Planning, the Director of Instructional Technology, the Faculty Resource Center, and academic stakeholders to identify faculty training needs.
- Assists in planning and facilitation of college-wide instructional initiatives. Coordinates and implements strategic plans involving faculty development and training; course development; curriculum design; instructional technology.
- Designs workshops, on-demand offerings, and other development opportunities to enhance teaching techniques, integrate technology, and foster student engagement.
- May be assigned to serve on college committees.
Essential Functions
Instructional Technology Integration:
- Works with Learning Support Services, the Faculty Resource Center, and/or Information Technology Services to resolve user issues and develop and deliver trainings related to instruction and instructional technology.
- Leads projects to develop innovative uses of technology for teaching, student learning, and/or community building.
- Develops resources, workshops, and/or trainings to disseminate information about instructional technology practices, utilization of learning systems, and best practices including Quality Matters standards.
- Collaborates with faculty to determine their pedagogical needs; identify appropriate technologies; develop instructional design; deliver and assess implementation. Aids in the direct integration of technology into course curricula or co-curricular learning.
- Consults on learning management system integration and instructional software application decisions and works with resources to develop or adapt software solutions for instruction when needed.
