About the Position:

The Department of Health Professions provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Sport and Exercise Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Food and Nutrition.

Additionally, we nurture a thriving research community across all disciplines. Our programs are meticulously crafted to blend academic knowledge with practical experience, ensuring our students are well-equipped for practice, employment, and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of physiotherapy and broader healthcare. Central to our department's ethos is the integration of technology and creativity into the student experience, underpinned by a commitment to innovative teaching methodologies.

About the Candidate:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and enriching the student experience while actively engaging in departmental initiatives. Responsibilities include teaching physiotherapy subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a specialization in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and advanced practice.

They will also facilitate inter-professional teaching and collaborate closely with academics, researchers, clinicians, and professionals across the healthcare sector. Flexible part-time arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.

We seek a candidate with exceptional oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities. A willingness to contribute across the physiotherapy curriculum is essential. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation across various clinical settings, including hospitals, communities, and sports medicine.

Candidates must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and hold membership in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or equivalent international professional body. A good first degree, at least a Masters qualification, and a PhD or equivalent (for the Senior Lecturer position) are required.

Additionally, candidates should have relevant teaching experience and substantial clinical expertise in physiotherapy, with a track record in research, service improvement, evaluation, or clinical audit.
