Job description
Here at Merton College, we are seeking a Curriculum Manager to support the Head of Inclusive Learning to lead, manage, grow, develop, and coordinate the development and delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective curriculum provision, which progresses towards, and achieves, the College’s strategic and operational objectives in the curriculum area.
You will support the Head of Inclusive Learning to monitor the progress of all learners on the Foundation Learning Study programmes and within The Aurora and ensure that all success rates and value-added performance improves moving towards outstanding. You will ensure that all provision programmes meet the needs, standards and requirements of all stakeholders including employers, appropriate professionals, and awarding bodies and be responsible for the performance management of the team, in order to deliver outstanding teaching and learning with high standards of student guidance, support and engagement/enrichment opportunities. We’re looking for someone who holds a degree or appropriate professional qualification in an area relevant to the work in the Section and have substantial relevant teaching experience, recognised as a good or better teacher. You will have detailed knowledge of working with 16-25 year olds with learning difficulties and disabilities and have sound knowledge of the curriculum offered in Supported Learning, including Functional Skills and current awarding bodies, as well as a firm grasp of current and impending changes to the curriculum including RARPA. You will have good understanding of the process of curriculum development, accreditation, and validation, and have demonstrable leadership and management skills in the context of curriculum and staff management.
