Cumberland Council is a dynamic and innovative organisation committed to leveraging technology to drive efficiency and growth. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced ICT Infrastructure Manager to lead our in-house infrastructure team.

As the ICT Infrastructure Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our organisation's technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing the organisations cloud technologies and on-premise data centres, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our network and systems.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

• Strong technical knowledge of network infrastructure, servers, storage systems, virtualisation, and cloud technologies.
• Proven experience in managing ICT infrastructure, including on-premise data centres.
• Experience with security protocols, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 17 skilled professionals in designing, implementing, and maintaining our ICT infrastructure.
• Manage and optimise our on-premise data centres, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Develop and implement strategies for the secure and efficient operation of all ICT systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that align with business objectives and the target operating model of the organisation.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure services.
• Implement and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures to safeguard data and systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
