Hydrologist / Senior HydrologistLocation:Warrington
Salary:Circa £30,000 - £48,000 dependent on experience plus:
- Hybrid working
- Holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank

SummaryAn award-winning planning and environmental consultancy, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hydrologist to be based out of our clients Glasgow office and work on a broad variety of projects
The successful candidate will work on projects including residential schemes, infrastructure and energy projects. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a high degree of independence as well as in teams. The role will ideally suit an individual with significant hydraulic modelling experience.
Duties- Management and delivery of Flood Risk Assessment, SuDs schemes, etc.
- Conducting hydraulic modelling and producing associated reports
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Organising and conducting site visits, attending team and client meetings
- Undertaking extensive modelling work and report writing
Essential Criteria- Relevant hydrology qualification as well as being chartered or working towards chartership (preferably ICE)
- 2 years + experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans and Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro, HEC-RAS, or similar programme
- Demonstrable experience of the successful delivery of hydrology reports
- Good knowledge and understanding of UK legislation
- The successful candidate will be required to produce reports for clients and so attention to detail, reliability, and good organisational skills are essential.
- Experienced in GIS and other software packages
- Full driving license
- Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable Criteria- Master's degree relevant to hydrology
- Experience in peat stability and related assessments
- Strong scientific and engineering knowledge in relation to hydrology
- Tendering/bid preparation experience
- Production of EIA Chapters
