Job description
Key Responsibilities: Participate in the on-call rota for general paediatrics. Provide resident on-call support alongside a resident SHO and consultant. Take charge of children admitted to the Trust, managing cases in Paediatric ED, the childrens surgical ward, or ITU during on-call shifts. Adhere to local guidelines for occasional Child Protection cases arising out of hours. Work closely with Consultants who provide a weekly consultant service. Engage in team-based decision-making to ensure exceptional patient care. Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning. Skills & Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding and application of medical knowledge. Familiarity with clinical governance principles and medical audit processes.
