Essential Criteria
Must have a full UK driving License
Must have experience supporting young people in a residential setting
NVQ 3 in Children and Young People
Preferred Criteria
Experience as a team leader or senior in a residential childrens home

Duties and Further Information:
To assist the Home Manager & Service Manager, in ensuring that the home operates in such a way which maximises the potential for resolving young people’s problems and encourages their healthy development.
To provide an environment which is conducive to young people with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities, and manage the home effectively to ensure that the children are looked after professionally and appropriately in a warm, caring and therapeutic environment.
Demonstrate leadership and efficient organisation
Ensure and promote correct & effective administrative and record keeping systems
Responsible for effective liaison with home manager & service manager to ensure that a coherent approach is adopted towards childcare planning for children within the home.
To ensure that the relevant keyworker updates Placement plans, Health needs and Risk assessments accordingly and on a regular basis.
Ensure that conditions are both safe and healthy and that
the environment is pleasant, comfortable and homely.
Liaise with external bodies and relevant individuals
To cover on-Call duty to provide advice, guidance support both verbally and physically during emergencies or staff illness, if no reasonable alternative can be found, within the homes.
To actively liaise with educational provisions, local schools and colleges of further education to ensure that the appropriate education and training is afforded to both young people and
staff.
To ensure that the home is kept in a clean and tidy.
Your annual salary package, for the role of Team Leader will be £31,348.14

37.3h week based on 7 shifts over 3 weeks
Any additional care contact hours are paid at over £16 p/h
On calls emergencies are paid at £35 per time
