Health & Safety Advisor needed in Bury

The hourly rate is £19.00ph PAYE

This is a temporary role

The successful candidate will focus on supporting housing related services. Reporting to the HR Business Manager, and working closely with the Lead Health and Safety Advisor, you would help to ensure that we deliver an effective and efficient health and safety service by playing a key role in:

• Co-ordinating health and safety measures across housing related services, to minimise risk ensure compliance with legislation and promote best practice.
• Supporting the development of arrangements and practices that mainstream health and safety and encourage a positive, enabling culture.
• Researching, updating, reviewing, developing, communicating, publishing and advising on plans, procedures, policy, strategies and arrangements.
• Delivering training to ensure capable and competent health and safety practice is mainstreamed by managers and their teams.
• Undertaking investigations and audits and, where appropriate leading on the delivery of appropriate follow-up actions.
• Your role would be interesting and varied, involving the provision of advice to health and safety colleagues, employees and managers, as well as working closely with the trade unions.
