Fluor Farnborough:
Fluor’s office in Farnborough, Hampshire is one of the company’s main execution centres undertaking projects across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Farnborough itself has excellent transport links and is located 35 minutes from London via train.

Fluor is foreseeing an increase in workload in a number of different business sectors including:
• Energy transition projects including in battery materials, hydrogen and carbon capture
• Life Sciences & Advanced Manufacturing including in data centres and low carbon technologies
• Traditional Oil & Gas projects in upstream, downstream (refinery and petrochemicals) and LNG
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study.
Proven experience in the mechanical engineering discipline.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Dynamic leadership style, being prepared to push the boundaries when necessary
- A proven track record as lead mechanical engineer in major Energy and Chemical projects in pre-FEED, FEED and EPC phases.
- Ability to mentor and keen to share knowledge and experience, assisting with training other engineers by providing instruction on new technologies or specialisation's
- Ability to lead a team of specialists consisting of rotating equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers fired equipment, packaged equipment and materials.
- Technical leadership of global teams, interfacing with all engineering disciplines, across multiple offices to coordinate detailed engineering scope of work.
- Experience with cost estimates, schedule development, technical reviews, preparation of design specifications, datasheets, requisitions, bid summaries and purchase orders.
- Demonstrate the highest possible regard for HSE
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive Client relationships
- Effective management of change
- Preparation of data sheets, enquiry requisitions, technical bid evaluations, purchase requisitions, Supplier co-ordination and document reviews
- Attendance at progress review meetings
- Travel may be required for assistance at the module yard / job site with installation, commissioning and further testing activities.
- Resolution of technical queries from job site including troubleshooting visits to site as required.
- Interface directly with the Client, all Engineering disciplines, procurement as well as the supplier.
- Reports to Mechanical Discipline Manager
