JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-time Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a 38 year old woman living in the Aberdare area. I am very active and love sport. My main interests are martial arts, weight lifting and cycling. I would love a PA who shares the same interests in sport as me as I require support with my hobbies for example joining me on a bike ride, supporting me with lifting weights, helping me teach and enabling me to join groups. Being comfortable with public speaking is a big factor in this role as my disability, Dystonia, affects my speech. A pet lover is a bonus as I have house rabbits. PURPOSE OF JOB Support me in the community to maintain my independence and help with hospital appointments etc. HOURS OF WORK 8 hours per week – times can be agreed at interview stage but a degree of flexibility will be needed. RATES OF PAY £12.00 per hour 40p mileage available TASKS INVOLVED · Meals and preparation · Social outings and community based activities · Physical activities like bike rides · Assisting me with teaching groups · Help me with weight lifting · Assisting me to attend hospital appointments · Light and basic household duties, helping maintain my home to a high standard · Any other reasonable task TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED · A reliable and trustworthy person is essential · Someone friendly and easy to build rapport with · You must be confident with public speaking and be able to express yourself well · Confidentiality and respect for working in my home · Car driver is essential · Comfortable with pets in the home · Be able to physically participate in some of the activities I do ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer Local Authority. The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UKJob tags
