Salvation Brands Ltd. is searching for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team of high-performing professionals and to keep our finances positioned for continued success. You will be a key partner in the business, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)and board of investors and be part of the leadership team. As the head of finance, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s operations, driving the financial planning and strategic decision-making process by providing crucial insights and analyses that support the company’s business expansion efforts. On a day-to-day basis, you will have overall responsibility for the strategic planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk, and governance as well as maintaining investor relations and partner compliance. In addition, in this role, you will lead the finance team fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement with clear and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial planning and forecasting, including annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning. Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate and achievable financial forecasts in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Analyze KPI’s and financial metrics to provide comprehensive business insights for decision making on pricing, profitability, and growth strategies, detect trends and proactively address risks and opportunities in a changing environment.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports, including financial statements, monthly management reports, cash flow projections and KPIs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing, proactive finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee financial control systems, policies, and procedures for compliance with all regulatory entities.
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross team communication and workflows.
- Manage and optimize working capital and treasury, including cash flow. Develop effective treasury management strategies while monitoring and mitigating financial risks.
- Review and monitoring of tax position, calculations, and filings.
- Cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders, including shareholders, investors, and lenders. Engage with shareholders and investors, providing regular updates on financial performance and opportunities/risks.
- Overseeing departments involved in the purchases, pricing/margin control, debt management and accounts payable and receivable.
- Providing recommendations to the CEOs and members of the executive team
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Qualifications/Skills
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting or finance.
- 5 or more years as either a CFO/FD (experience in either the fashion industry or in ecommerce is preferred)
- Demonstrable track record overseeing accounting and financial planning and analysis functions
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
- Experience leading turnarounds and making strategic choices.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
