Role Purpose:
The Senior Learning & Development Specialist will be a key contributor in the design and delivery of training solutions across Allwyn, both directly and indirectly. They will collaborate with business functions to understand requirements and be able to make recommendations on effective training solutions, ensuring they are in keeping with Allwyns’ values and employee brand.
Role Responsibilities:
- Performing Training Needs Analysis to identify and recommend innovative learning programmes for both individuals and the organisation
- Work in close collaboration with the People team to understand requirements coming out of the business and the Change Programme for requirements driven by transformation
- Designing a range of blended learning interventions, including e-learning and in-person
- Creating innovative learning initiatives using digital learning management platforms
- Partnering with different functional areas and subject matter experts to manage, develop and delivery training programs
- Develop new training materials and maintain/upgrade the existing training portfolio
- Mentor, support and develop members of the L&D team
- Manage assignment and delivery of automated and manual delivery programs
- Maintain attendance and completion of training logs and follow-up non engagement
- Compile and analyze data of training consumed, effectiveness and all metrics to deliver recommendations for innovative training programs
- Support the L&D coordinator in the planning, scheduling and facilitating of training solutions
- Assessing the success of development plans and helping employees make the most of learning opportunities
- Ensure the L&D budget is effectively managed and support in the engagement of any new training suppliers
- Implementing various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
Key Measures of Success:
- Ensure effective use of the L&D budget, being able to demonstrate a return on investment for training solutions
- Ensure that all employees have the right skills and capabilities for the 4NL
- Providing outstanding experience to all employees
- A high level of employee satisfaction in response to the training solutions, including the logistics and coordination through feedback forms, ratings, reviews, or interviews.
- Drive employee engagement across Allwyn by ensuring the training is meeting the needs of the employees, as well as the business, and is aligned to the Allwyn values.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Ability to create learning programs, defining the appropriate type of learning intervention for the specified requirements
- Experience in developing different types of training including e-learning, virtual live training, in person training and supporting training materials
- Excellent live training delivery and presentation skills
- Experience in inclusive neurodiverse and ability awareness training development is an asset
- Experienced in assessing and benchmarking training effectiveness
- Excellent communication skills, able to connect with all levels of the business
- Previous experience in an in-house L&D/ Training role, broad knowledge latest Training developments - Confident handling diverse portfolio of training needs
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Resilient - able to face challenges proactively and comfortable dealing with all levels within the organisation
- Able to pick up tasks quickly and adapt to the situation

As part of our onboarding processes, all successful candidates will need to complete both a Pre-Employment Screening process and a Fit & Proper check by the Gambling Commission. These checks include a DBS (an enhanced check, which shows convictions and conditional cautions), credit and social media checks. As part of our application process, you will be asked to identify in advance if you have spent or unspent convictions that we need to be aware of.
Should you not disclose convictions at the application stage, not pass the Fit & Proper Check process or not complete your Pre-Employment Screening then unfortunately you may not pass our probation process.
