HCT has used SystmOne as its EPR for more than 15 years and we are moving into a new digital arena with exciting integrations and innovations. This role will give you the opportunity to lead the team in these new and innovative ways of working whilst ensuring that standards and patient safety are maintained.

You will be joining us as part of our Senior Management Team and helping us shape the Clinical Systems team of the future. As part of this senior team you will also represent Clinical Systems in strategic meetings to help guide the trust with the EPR.

You will have a high level of SystmOne configuration knowledge and configuration experience and we looking forward to bringing fresh ideas and using this experience to share new ways of working.

You will be responsible for managing the Change Requests received from our Clinical Services, this will involve triage/scoping and categorising requests ensuring that the requirements are fully understood. You will allocate and support the analysts to complete the schedule of works ensuring priorities and timescales are maintained.

Having gained a high level of SystmOne configuration experience, this is the perfect opportunity for you to be a mentor to our highly motivated Development Analysts responsible for configuring and effectively implementing changes to existing clinical systems used by HCT.

You will liaise with colleagues at all levels of the organisation to ensure all aspects of change, support and comply with Information Governance policy guidance, and Clinical Safety.

As part of your leadership, you will be confident to host a weekly analyst meeting and regularly represent Clinical Systems at Trust wide meetings to guide our colleagues in using our systems effectively.

Our team comprises of Project Managers, Development Analysts, Trainers, Helpdesk and a Clinical Safety Officer, this means that you will be joining a team of more than 20, all working to a common goal; We are passionate about the care of our patients by supporting our clinical services colleagues in maintaining the integrity of our Clinical Systems.

We generally meet in person on a weekly basis, we have regular full team meetings where we have lively discussions around relevant topics, and we encourage everyone to take an active part.

You will receive a warm welcome to the team, and we will help you settle into your new role and support you in getting to know the Trust as a whole.

Word versions of documents are available if needed to allow for any adaptations to be made i.e. font, colour, background, convert to Read Aloud.

On a daily basis, you will manage the change requests and workload of the Clinical Systems Development Analysts, completing triage/scoping and categorising of requests, ensuring that requirements are fully understood and meet the wider strategic direction of the organisation.

As part of your leadership, you will support the analysts to prioritise their workload, supporting complex and high priority changes and projects to ensure that these are delivered within scope and timelines.

You will provide day to day guidance, expertise and coaching to the Development Analysts in completion of change requests. You will also need to ensure that the wider team which includes Head of Clinical Systems, Project Managers, Trainers and the Helpdesk are kept abreast of key information and changes to ensure that knowledge is shared across the team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that changes to the system support effective clinical service delivery to patients, supporting business, organisational and national reporting requirements.

You will be liaising with colleagues at all levels of the organisation to ensure all aspects of change are supported and comply with Information Governance policy and guidance, and Clinical Safety and Quality.

You will be responsible for the on-going management of the clinical systems in particular SystmOne ensuring standards are adhered to and good housekeeping is maintained.

You will need to assess potential impacts and benefits of future system releases and to manage accordingly.

You will be attending Operational meetings to provide expertise and support and to agree future priorities in relation to team resource and capability.

You will identify areas of systems which could introduce potential clinical risks to patients and escalate as appropriate to Head of Clinical Systems and the Clinical Safety Officer.

Using your excellent communication skills and a strategic approach you will build and maintain strong and strategic relationships across the Trust.
