This exciting UK Credit Control vacancy is based in modern offices at my Client's HQ in Slough (SL1)

Due to growth they are seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join the Finance team on a permanent basis.

You will be working within a busy, friendly Finance function and be responsible for primarily NHS & Public Sector based customers and the associated B2B Sales Ledgers (c£15m total). The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong track record in Credit Control and public sector business to business collections with high value, key accounts.

You will be required to build relationships both internally and externally to maximise cash flow and collections by engaging effectively with key stakeholders and debtors. This is a Senior position with 1 direct report.

Responsibilities :

• Closely monitoring outstanding debt, managing Credit Control, Receivables and Cash Collection
• Overseeing 4 ledgers totalling a combined c£15m.
• Following up with customers on overdue invoices via phone & email on a daily basis
• Chasing of overdue accounts and invoices by telephone, email and letter
• Ensuring all unallocated payments are accounted for and reconciled
• Review and maintain customers current credit limits / payment terms
• Logging remittances received
• Credit Hold & release
• Credit Terms review & Credit limit setting
• Processing credit application forms
• Account Reconciliations and reporting on aged debt
• Monthly Statements
• Discuss and report any problematic accounts to the Finance Manager in a timely manner
• Ensuring billing accuracy via close collaboration with Billing team and Sales teams

The Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller in a sole charge or small team capacity
• Confident, versatile telephone manner
• Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to work with a diverse portfolio of NHS, Public Sector debtors as well as airlines, hotels and construction too.
• Experience in using Sage 200 and strong Excel skills
• Pro-active approach to collections and developing rapport with debtors and internal staff
• Team Player who is happy to work within a UK-wide Team and add value during busy periods
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong Excel skills - ledger production, statement production and ad-hoc reporting
• Able to champion credit policy across the organisation
• Willingness to streamline processes to bring new ideas to the table
