Job description
Streatham & Clapham High School seeks to appoint a dynamic and innovative qualified sports coach to help lead our thriving, highly successful, well-resourced, and ambitious Sports Department.
As the Assistant Director of Sport, you will have overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of Academic PE, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are delivered and assisting the Director of Sport in the leadership and management of the department.
You will play a pivotal role in providing diverse sporting opportunities for pupils of all abilities, including hockey, netball, athletics, cross-country, gymnastics, cricket, rowing, football, badminton, tennis, rounders, volleyball, yoga, and dance, alongside many other activities. Additionally, active participation in co-curricular activities, including training sessions, fixtures, competitions, and events, is expected, with occasional weekend commitments.
Candidates must have a proven track record of teaching Physical Education throughout KS3-KS5, and up to GCSE or A level, as well as experience in Prep School PE. Previous management experience, preferably as a Deputy Head of Department, is essential.
