WSP is seeking a highly skilled Stakeholder Engineer who is fluent in Arabic to join our team as part of a prestigious road infrastructure project. The Stakeholder Engineer will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and collaboration between project stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and the project team. This position requires a deep understanding of regulatory processes, strong interpersonal skills, and a background in engineering, preferably civil, mechanical, or electrical.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and government agencies to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and NOCs for the road infrastructure project.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the project, including government entities, local communities, and other relevant parties.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of issues.
- Liaise between the project team and regulatory bodies to address any concerns or requirements related to compliance, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on the status of approvals, permits, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop strategies for stakeholder engagement and mitigation of potential conflicts.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential regulatory hurdles or challenges that may impact project timelines or budget.
- Support the project team in conducting community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities as needed.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to road infrastructure projects in the region.
- Mentor and support junior members of the project team in stakeholder management best practices.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing stakeholder relationships on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
- Strong understanding of regulatory processes and requirements related to road infrastructure projects in the region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and address potential challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
