Job description

Action day-to-day issues, ensuring resolution and escalating serious issues to management as appropriate. To book target patients that have been discussed in the MDT / Radiology meetings in a timely manner. To work alongside Radiology admin in co ordinating the smooth booking of biopsy patients. To answer the telephone and respond to emails. To support and monitor clinics and ensure they are cashed up in a timely fashion by using Revenue Cycle worklists and Trust available reporting tools. To liaise with other departments in the hospital i.e. diagnostic departments, Admissions, PALS, supplies and Estates, as required. To support the monitoring of the department email and replying / actioning appropriately, escalating where required to senior management. The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of work colleagues, visitors and patients within the hospital, in the addition to the specific risk management of clinical governance accountabilities associated with the post. Observe the rules, policies, procedures, and standards of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust together with all relevant statutory and professional obligations. Observe and maintain strict confidentiality of personal information relating to patients and staff Responsible, with management support, for their own personal development and to actively contribute to the development of colleagues This job description is intended as a guide to the general scope of duties and is not intended to be definitive or restrictive.
