Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit a Planning Manager to support the delivery of Highway maintenance schemes and cyclical maintenance works.

As the Planning Manager, you will report to the Operations Manager and be part of Milestone Infrastructure's Schemes Team who are responsible for the delivery of a variety of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for managing and leading the planning team and supporting our wider operational teams who are responsible for planned maintenance & cyclical works coordination.

We are looking for a driven individual, ideally with a background in the delivery and planning of civil engineering projects, to work with both pre-construction and project delivery teams across a variety of civil engineering projects and a broad range of customers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop programmes into a fully compliant, logical contract programme based on securing the shortest timescales and costs for the project,

• Monitor progress against contract programmes and present key programme issues at meetings,
• Record and highlight changes to resources against the original programme,
• Demonstrate changes to the programme resulting from variations and other client changes.
• Prepare revised programmes to completion as required.
• Provide programme details to support forecasting.
• Manage the planning team to ensure systems are up to date & robust.
• Collaboratively coordinate with street works & third parties on permitting issues

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

• Experience of preparation of tender programme from first principles.
• Proven organisational skills including planning and programming.
• Experience with NEC form of contracts
• Asta Power project (or similar planning tool) experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to liaise and communicate effectively across a diverse range of project stakeholders.
• Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with the Client.
• Experience in development and delivery of civil engineering projects
• Detailed understanding of health and safety management and the requirements of CDM
• TM knowledge
• Advanced Microsoft excel & Power Bi reporting.
• SMSTS & IOSH
