The Role
The Head of Scanning UKI will be responsible for the full end-to-end scanning service line and team, across UK & Ireland. They will be accountable for designing, defining and standardising our operational and technical approach, whilst working collaboratively across the business to provide exceptional scanning services to our clients. This includes managing a team of scanning professionals across multiple sites and co-ordinating other resources, including external, in a matrix organisation to deliver flexible, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- Lead and develop and high performing scanning function across UKI; ensuring structure, resource and capabilities are in place to meet current and future client demands.
- Develop, a suite of key performance indicators that provide real time management information covering all relevant measures (productivity, scanning output, SLAs, headcount etc).
- Utilise this MI to monitor and manage the scanning function to deliver performance and subsequent transparency in relation to, budgets, forecasts, business plans and strategy.
- Build a model in collaboration with financial and commercial stakeholders that enables clear articulation of costs and hence potential pricing and margins across all scanning activities.
- Continually drive operational performance through, process optimisation, continuous improvement activity, technology investments, best practice and talent management / development.
- Lead through change in a positive and supportive manner.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with critical stakeholders: Operational leadership, Digital Product Owners, Commercial, IT and Procurement.
Team Leadership and Development
- Develop talent within the team to secure future success.
- Definition and implementation of a workforce plan to ensure our wider teams have the ability to meet client demands both now and in the future.
- Succession planning for critical roles.
- Coaching and mentoring high talent and future leaders.
- Monitor individual team member performance across all dimensions. Providing feedback, coaching, mentoring and development. Where required, develop, and implement performance improvements plans.
Financial Management
- Ownership of scanning function financial performance, including externally sourced, partners or via matrix resources.
- Definition of budgets, reporting of performance, compilation of future forecasts.
- Ensure all operational processes and systems are aligned to accurately capture our activities and pricing hence delivering accurate information to the billing systems.
Framework and Boundries
- Work closely with colleagues in the Group Operations team and recognise co-dependency on which team success is based.
- Be the voice and advocate of scanning, across the whole of UK&I.
- Foster a collaborative culture with key stakeholders, building long term partnerships and understanding of both client and operational needs.
- Champion scanning within OASIS UK&I and play a full role in group scanning collaborations.
Systems Processes & Reporting
- Management of all scanning assets from procurement, maintenance, replacements and exits.
- Use technical expertise and industry best practice to inform ongoing strategy implementations and future development of service and product offerings.

Candidate Requirements
- Significant experience leading large teams.
- Experience of P&L and financial ownership of large complex structures.
- Experience of building scanning solutions to large scale, whilst maintaining performance and control.
- Extensive expertise and knowledge in scanning and digital solutions services provision and management.
- A good awareness and understanding of the Records and Information Management industry is required, including trends in scanning provision and technology which may impact client and service delivery.
- Excellent people leadership, communication and team working skills.
- Ability to partner effectively on all levels with OASIS leaders and colleagues.
- Excellent task management skills, results orientated with a strong work ethic, and demonstrated attention to detail.
- Must be flexible and remain professional whilst under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving, presentation, communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to travel when required in the UK&I.
