Job description
Following growth and expansion, a global leading manufacturing company has a new vacancy for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join the team., You will be tasked with improving the EHS Management system in line with legislation and providing daily support and guidance on all HSE matters. Candidates will be NEBOSH qualified and ideally will have worked in a fast-paced environment.
Commutable from: Exeter, Torquay, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Plymouth, Dawlish, Brixham.
Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 45,000 p.a. + benefits
Suitable for: Senior HSE Advisor, HSE Officer, HSE Advisor, EHS Officer, EHS Advisor, Health and Safety Officer, Health and Safety Advisor, H&S Officer, H&S Advisor.
The Role
Ensuring all areas work are to legislative guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Plan and conduct process audits to determine continued effectiveness of H&S system.
Establish and maintain Health and Safety Procedures.
Create and deliver training sessions.
Ensure near miss and incident investigations are carried out and followed up.
Promote a safety first culture and challenge unsafe actions.
Carry out H&S inspections regularly and maintain accurate records.
Manage the risk assessment programme.
Liaise with external parties such as enforcing authorities, customers, suppliers and contractors.
Ensure all areas work are to legislative guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
The Person
Previous experience within a fast-paced environment, ideally manufacturing.
NEBOSH General / IOSH Managing Safely.
Experience maintaining and coordinating management systems and records.
The ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, problem-solving and presentation skills.
Must be highly organised and able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a very fast-paced environment.
‘Hands on’ approach to work with excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
