The role
As a Junior designer, the primary function of this role is to design commercial ranges and collections for BoohooMAN across both short and medium lead time areas. The Design Team look for inspiration all around the world, along with street style, vintage shopping, music, sport, art, the catwalk and all things creative, to design the latest product for the range. It's all about newness, and finding and designing the most exciting product for our customer, whatever their style.

What you’ll be doing
- Ability to create CADs, new shapes and produce tech packs for production.
- Main role is to help deliver and complete projects within specified time frames in line with business requirements.
- You will report directly into the Design Manager and support the team during and in preparation of presentations/ strategy meetings.
- Mentor and manage entry level, interns and assistant level team members.
- Responsible for driving a key department projects and trends.
- Co-operate with the buying teams to drive product and collaborate with assistant designers to fulfil tasks in hand.
- Ability to understand design briefs and develop ideas through to concept.
- Work closely with the buying and QC teams to ensure developments come in correct.
- Ability to pull trend research and extract key messages for development using daily trade reports.
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date with fashion trending messages, as well as updating fabric and trim sourcing packs.
- Responsible for putting new reactions from daily new-in reports into work.

More about you
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat & CAD
- Previous experience working in a menswear design role at either Assistant or Junior level.
- Confident working across all multi categories with a strong creative mindset
- Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the boohooMAN brand and customer
- Fashion forward-thinking and directional trend eye
- Brilliant time management and resilience
- Comfortable working under your own direction or as part of a team
- Ability to communicate confidently, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers, wider team & senior members
