Job Description
Working within the IT team, this role offers the opportunity to expand your knowledge supporting and enhancing the software in use at The Mortgage Lender.
The successful candidate will be dealing with various aspects of providing support for a growing business, but with several ongoing projects, a large part of the role will require you to assist with project work related to enhancing the software in use at TML.
Ideally you should have experience of working on software related projects, preferably with experience of configuring, testing, and supporting the Finova Core banking platform, or an equivalent banking platform.
You will need to be able to think quickly, deal with multiple problems at the same time and be
confident in investigating anything from data issues to software bugs as well as hardware or
software configuration issues. With some IT Services provided by 3rd party suppliers, the role will require the successful candidate to work closely with our partners.
Responsibilties;
- Dealing with 2nd line helpdesk support issues, data issues, software bugs, hardware or software configuration issues and talking to users about their problems to identify any area(s) to be investigated
- Working on technology projects both software and hardware related
- Liaise directly with partners for support and change requests
- Working directly with stakeholders, understanding their requirements to assist in delivering change
- Completing daily jobs and tasks in support of the business teams
- Testing the software / infrastructure to ensure it is fit for purpose before handing over to the business teams
- Liaising with the business UAT teams to deliver testing sign off
- Tracking and management of system bugs
Qualifications
Essential
- SQL scripting
- Reading and understanding requirements/user stories
- Structured testing of software applications
- Release Management
- Experience of working with JIRA or a project management tool
Desirable
- Experience of working with Windows tooling e.g. SharePoint management, Microsoft admin portals
- Software confiureation
- Experience of liaising directly with external partners
- ITIL qualification
- Working in the financial services sector with knowledge of financial systems
