SOC Engineer

Day rate - £550 INSIDE IR35

12 month contract

Location - South West England | Hybrid | 2 days on site per week

SC Clearance needed

I am looking for a skilled SOC Engineer to join a well-established consultancy who specialise in the delivery of innovative digital and technical solutions for UK government and defence. Due to the nature of the project, you must have active SC clearance .

You will join the Security Operations Centre supporting the cloud operations whilst providing technical support to the wider team, conduct investigations to identify sources of security incidents and provide operational management services such as Infrastructure and analysis services to support the security operations.

Skills needed:

• Knowledge of platforms and operating systems such as Azure, AWS, Windows, OS X and Linux
• Experience in Microsoft Server technologies, TCP/IP fundamentals, ITIL, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Packet Analysis
• Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration and Response (SOAR) with Vulnerability Assessment tooling and technologies
• Experience of incident response processes within a high volume SOC environment
• Relevant SOC Engineer training and/or certifications such as CompTIA, SANS, CEH Ethical Hacker, CREST etc
