Medical Affairs Director (Remote)
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Medical Affairs Director will play a key part in developing and driving effective Medical Affairs plans for the UK. Our client is a Swiss specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of innovative medicines for rare neuromuscular diseases. If you are passionate about treating such rare diseases, and have acquired an MD/PharmD (or equivalent) background, your expertise is needed to play a pivotal role in supporting the company in their initial growth phase.
Your main responsibilities includes:
- Lead recruitment, development, and management of a high-performing medical affairs team, thereby ensuring adherence to local compliance codes.
- Strategically identify and prioritize medical activities aligned with company objectives, supporting global plans and high-priority EU projects.
- Plan and execute comprehensive medical communications, congresses, and educational initiatives within budget and timelines.
- Cultivate scientific/clinical leaders and KOLs, while supporting market access projects and local patient advocacy group engagement.
- Collaborate with commercial colleagues and act as the Senior Medical Representative in global initiatives.
- Provide timely review and approval of marketing and medical materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Engage with scientific leaders in relevant therapy areas to raise awareness, provide relevant information and foster scientific exchanges
Your profile:
- MD or PharmD, with a preference for Current Final ABPI Signatory statusĀ
- Strong background in neuromuscular disorders or related therapeutic areas, passion for tackling rare diseases
- Minimum 5 years experience in MA in the UK, with a focus on product launches and LCM activities. Line management experience is a plus
