FACILITIES ENGINEER
SHIFT PATTERN 6-2 AND 2-10 ROTATING EACH WEEK

ROLE SUMMARY
A Facilities Engineer supports the Ashford factory facilities engineering function with capital projects, engineering budgets, and day-to-day engineering support. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting the managing the maintenance and engineering function to ensure optimum operation within the organization. Responsibilities also include aiding in the management of assets and ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are met. The Facilities Engineer supports and oversees contractors/services works, manage safety, quality & service, and ensures compliance is maintained throughout.
YOU WILL
- Attend regular team meeting reviews with the Facilities Leadership Team to determine consistent and agreed working methods are adopted in relation to:-
- Equipment Safety.
- Engineering procedures and practices.
- Equipment/Parts standardization.
- Engineering stores procurement principles.
- SAP purchasing & budget analysis.
- Assist in devising and implementing an appropriate maintenance strategy for the range of assets within the Value Stream. Control this using a Planned Preventative Maintenance review system.
- Work in-conjunction with the Facilities Manager to support the introduction of new equipment and system requirements to ensure Facilities can correctly support the needs of the ever-changing business needs of the site.
Lean Manufacturing
- Participate in the Organisation’s robust program of continuous improvement which will ensure the manufacturing costs, quality of products and service levels are competitive.
- Seek out new and innovative technologies to fulfil the requirements of the Organisation.
- Support the drive of Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement through Single-Minute Exchange of Die design and reduction of machine stoppages.
- Support Lean Manufacturing activities.
- Assist with Facilities Costs reduction where possible.
Investments
- Assist in the implementation of capital investments so they are best utilized to optimize the cost, efficiency, and output of the factory.
- Assist in the completion of the Commissioning, Qualification and Validation process, clean design guidelines and Coty Inc procedures.
- Ensure compliance to all company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all capital equipment is managed to the guidelines, through adherence to the Asset control procedures.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all Company Safety Procedures and adhere to all processes, procedures and guidelines in place.
Quality Responsibilities
- Ensure all equipment is maintained on a scheduled basis and new. equipment/tooling guarantees all products produced meet the required quality specification. Provide engineering support for the continuous improvement of product quality.
- Continuous support to the quality index and other quality initiatives.

- Consistent and agreed engineering working methods are employed across the site.
- All work is completed in compliance to the policies of Coty, European and U.K legislation.
- Maintenance of assets to ensure health, safety and environmental requirements are met.
