Job Description
The Collections Officer will be responsible for:
- Chasing debt via telephone, email, and letter
- Manage customer accounts and ensure timely debt repayment
- Handle inbound and outbound calls in a professional manner
- Maintain and update customer data in the company's database
- Negotiate payment plans with customers
- Collaborate with the accounting & finance team to achieve department goals
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving any account-related issues promptly
- Generate and send out invoices and account statements
The Successful Applicant
The successful Collections Officer should have:
- A solid educational background in finance, economics, or a related field
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
