Location: Wakefield - Junction 41 Trading Estate
Pay Rate: £11.50 per hour
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 6.30am - 3.30pm
First Choice are recruiting on behalf of our client, an international manufacturer of beverage containers, for their site in Wakefield on Junction 41 Training Estate.
We are looking for a Factory Hygiene Supervisor, to work with and oversee a team of Factory Hygiene Operatives, responsible for the following tasks:
Maintaining a clean and tidy factory environment
Cleaning walkways and conveyor canopies
Emptying industrial size waste bins
Cleaning industrial spillages including oils
Painting walkways and handrails
Scrapping off spoiled product
General warehouse duties
The Ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following:
Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Identify areas for improving standards
Maintain accurate records including inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and employee attendance
Experience as a Factory Hygiene Operative or similar role in a manufacturing environment
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team
Problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions
Effective communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Required experience:
Industrial cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
Supervisory experience: 1 year (preferred)
