Job description
Dynamic and organised team leader required for a 36-year-old gentleman who was involved in a road traffic collision, sustaining a number of complex injuries and a traumatic brain injury.
We are seeking an experienced brain injury/complex care Team Leader for 37 hours per week to join our friendly team. 14 hours per week will be care hours. You will be working in the family home, closely with the client’s parents, support team and specialist therapists. If you are creative, an animal lover and love the outdoors, you would be an ideal fit to assist our client in accessing the community, supporting him with fun activities which will stimulate him and support his rehabilitation. About our client: “My son loved the outside and the countryside before sadly he had a car accident, and I want people around him that do not mind getting dirty, wearing wellies and want to be part of this exciting next chapter in my son’s recovery. If you think you are this person and happy to work as part of a team and with his family, which includes my gorgeous grandson who wants to be included in his dad’s recovery, then we would love to hear from you.” Our client is classified to be in a low awareness state. He is physically, functionally, and cognitively dependent on others to meet his needs. He is gradually becoming much more responsive and is aware of people he is close to and his surroundings. As well as care and support, you will be trained by the therapy team to be able to carry out a rehabilitation programme. The therapy team includes an Occupational Therapist (OT), Neuro Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Music Therapist and a Massage Therapist. Working hours: 37 hours per week.
