Lead Support Worker
£12.10 Per Hour
Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 (15 min walk from Headingley Train Station)

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Kirkstall, Leeds as the Lead Support Worker, where you will have access to an excellent training programme, strong career progression and the opportunity to deliver outstanding support through our unique 'Activate' model. As Lead Support Worker, you will work closely with the Locality Manager and the Assistant Locality Manager to coach and mentor Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, to ensure this young man is receiving outstanding person-centred care. You will be responsible for helping to promote a culture within the team that every moment has potential and is an opportunity to improve this young man's life.
Who will I be supporting?
You will be supporting people with mild learning disabilities and autism, to live their lives as independently as possible
In Kirkstall, we currently support three people within their own flats in the same building, and we also provide outreach support to people living independently in the community
One of the people we support is extremely creative and loves to spend time building models and creating things. His interests lie in things like Lego, Warhammer, Star Trek, You Tube, gaming, collections, Buying/Selling, Crafts. He can struggle to find the confidence to go out to new places and needs support to ensure he is getting out and about more. He has a great sense of humour and is enjoyable to be around however does need support to bring this side of him out more as he can be prone to feeling down and speaking negatively. He requires support to maintain his health and well-being and manage relationships
What shifts are available?
Day shifts
Long shifts with sleepovers (24hrs)
A share of weekends that are split equally between the team
We're looking for people with flexibility to work on a rota basis that includes a combination of these shifts across weekdays and weekends
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance - something we're very passionate about!
