Data Engineer
Data Engineer – Hybrid – Chorley
Data Engineer, Data Engineering, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop
I currently require a Data Engineer, to join a team of Devs to build and support the data platform and other tools and solutions. You will contribute to the company’s data strategy, by evolving their data platform to meet company objectives.
As a Data Engineer, you will work with the Data team to define, communicate, and execute and support data migration projects. You will also help on technical database design activities for the team and investigate new technologies in a constantly evolving data engineering space.
Technical skills & responsibilities - Experience with relational database i.e., SQL Server, MySQL
- Experience with big data tools such as Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience with object-orientated/object or functional scripting languages i.e., Python, Java, Scala
- You will create and maintain data pipeline architectures
- Assemble large, complex data sets and identify/implement internal process improvements
