Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Hatfield. You will be collaborating with an enthusiastic team who enjoy what they do, working closely with the sales and operations to fulfill client expectations.
Responsibilities...
- Take overall responsibility for the success of product and supply
- Forecast required stock levels, demand, and price trends
- Manage supply chain to meet internal and external demands
- Analyse product cost lines, budgets and prioritise opportunities
- Contribute towards new product development and marketing
- Identify trends and anticipate challenges
- Nurture relationships with suppliers to secure the best outcomes
- Work to cost saving initiatives / inventory KPIs
- Monitor exchange rates and supplier credibility
- Research competitors and maintain good knowledge of industry standards, new technology and similar products.
- Manage quality sign-off, invoicing and payment approval
- Meet H&S standards and regulation requirements
- Report on relevant KPIs within the role
- Maintain an excellent standard of customer service
- Be a brand ambassador
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- Proficient with Supply Chain procedures and stock planning
- Experienced in international product sourcing & supply
- Proven ability in supplier negotiation
- Experience of setting and managing supplier SLAs
- Knowledge of product compliance within UK and EU market (particularly with construction materials)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal; internally, externally, and internationally
- Commercial awareness / data analysis
