Job description
We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join ICR, based in our Carnforth office.
The role will be responsible for supporting all Business Units in the UK and Internationally and will be responsible for all commercial activity working with internal and external stakeholders.
This role will report to the Head of Commercial.
The main tasks involved in the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Management of the Proposals Team (3 direct reports) Support preparation of commercial proposals / pricing in conjunction with Business Units.
- Support Proposals Specialist in management of the pre-qualification and tendering process
- Manage, monitor and update client contracts including terms and conditions review, qualification and negotiation in line with ICR contracting principals
- Manage current portfolio of client contracts including amendments, price reviews, performance and general contract administration
- Draft / execute contracts in line with ICR Contracting Principles Support Head of Commercial with management and implementation of all standards, processes and systems
- Support supply chain in conjunction with Procurement team and support in execution of agreements with key suppliers
- Review and approve all quotes and sales orders in SAP in line with DOA
- Support Head of Commercial (as required) with management of Agency and Distribution Agreements.
- Travel (as required) to support ICR international hubs
- Support diligence exercise on all new prospective Agents and Partners
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- LLB, LLM, QS Degree or equivalent is preferred
- Significant and proven experience of contract management in a commercial capacity, either in the likes of a Contracts/Commercial Advisor or Contracts Analyst position in the past
Key Skills, Experience & Attributes:
- The individual should have varied and detailed work experience in the industry and a detailed knowledge of contract review, contract management and tendering processes.
- Experience of bid preparation in a high pressured operational environment.
- Experience of fully integrated business systems
- Experience of carrying out Contract reviews, preparation and subsequent negotiation of qualifications essential
- International experience highly desirable
- Self-starter that takes a collaborative approach and enjoys working as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, confident individual, with the ability to work on own initiative and self-manage own workload
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a strategic thinker and a have strong negotiation skills
- Able to work in a systematic and orderly way with high standards in quality of work, excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage wide ranging tasks
- Superior time management abilities and capable of meeting deadlines
- Builds wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the Company
- Manages conflict and disagreements effectively
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent IT skills with an in-depth experience of fully integrated systems
- Willingness to travel
