Senior Biomedical Scientist Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital | Pathology | Permanent | Full time Up to £42,500 per annum, depending on experience 37.5 hours per week To look after the nation's heath, we must provide the highest standards of care. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist at our Exeter Hospital, it is essential you're registered with the HCPC and have at least 2 years post registration laboratory experience in Clinical Chemistry. Multi-disciplinary experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion is welcomed although training will be provided. You'll bring to the role good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques. A great communicator and team player, you understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory. Our highly motivated and talented Pathology team will appreciate your 'can do' attitude as you deliver quality pathology services in our UKAS accredited multidisciplinary laboratory and take a share of covering an on-call service out of hours. You'll enjoy a varied range of responsibilities - from performing diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control and keeping records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables. Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
