About the Role:

In the role of Head of Process Technology, you will be accountable to the Plant Manager. Your primary responsibilities include facilitating production plant operations to meet customer satisfaction, deliver high-quality products, and attain plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You will serve as a crucial liaison between the Plant Manager and the UGP Manager, particularly concerning product innovation and the suggestion of improvement projects. Your role involves actively contributing to product realization by establishing process parameters that ensure the achievement of quality standards.

Collaboration with UGP, Quality, and Maintenance teams is essential to define and implement best practices aligned with processes, materials, and machinery/tools. This collaborative effort aims to optimize overall efficiency and performance.

Main Responsibilities:

Technological Development
You responsibilities involve identifying new production methods and technologies. Conducting on-field experiments and data mining is crucial for evaluating the feasibility of development project ideas. Estimates are required for the relevant department, and oversight is maintained for the state of work in experimental activities. Overall feasibility is evaluated, with possible requests for approval. Acting as the Center of Competence for Ferrero Technologists, this role manages projects in cooperation with Technical Category R&D (DTC).

Production Technological Assistance, Industrialization, and Technological Process Improvement,
You will focus is on providing technological process optimization and support. This includes advising on setting up the production cycle, analyzing the cycle, and implementing corrective actions. Executing tests, defining new technological methods, and monitoring production parameters are integral. Serving as a central interface for UGP (Unità Gestionale Prodotto) Manager and Plant Manager, this role encourages knowledge sharing through dedicated meetings. Collaboration with Technical Category R&D and Maintenance ensures alignment with plans and machinery features to raw materials and semifinished goods. Support is also provided in defining cleaning processes based on risks, processes, and machines.

In New Plants Start-Up , cooperation and support are extended to Maintenance and Ferrero Engineering. This involves defining optimal technical solutions for new plant startups and providing advice for workability tests on raw materials, semifinished, and finished goods on new machinery. Technological advice is crucial during the execution of technological tests on new machinery.

Monitoring of the Product Technological Cycle
Involves you defining working and controlling guidelines for each process phase and step. Regular updates on parameters affecting products and materials reactions are received. Planning preventive, corrective, and improvement actions based on analysis provided by junior technologists is a key responsibility. Advice may be provided for monitoring HACCP, IFS, and ISO 14000 certification checklists if necessary.

Quality
You will provides advice for the locking/unlocking of semifinished and finished goods in case of problems. Information from the Plant Quality on issues detected during product analysis is received, and support is provided to define root causes and suitable corrective plans.
Participation in the HACCP process and providing advice for HACCP planning and the ISO process is part of the role. Ensuring tasting activities along the production line are correctly carried out and supporting the Plant Quality team on technological topics during audits is essential.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess significant experience in process technology, demonstrating a strong background in this field. Moreover, the ability to thrive in high-pressure work environments is a key attribute we seek. The successful candidate should exhibit a proven track record of working towards and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Proficiency in industrial food technology and a solid understanding of industrial quality aspects are essential qualifications for this position. The candidate should be well-versed in the use of IT tools relevant to Process Technologies management at Ferrero, including but not limited to Devex, SAP, and MS Office Applications.

Exceptional communication skills are paramount for this role, emphasizing the ability to build relationships that foster trust and confidence. In addition to technical expertise, people management skills are crucial for effective collaboration and leadership within the team.

Lastly, will be a analytical thinker , with a high level of proficiency in problem solving. Clear and effective communication within the organisation and beyond is essential. The candidate should be able to articulate ideas and information fluently, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
