My client based in the East Riding of Yorkshire is an industry leading energy efficiency company supplying premium quality products to a customer base across the UK. With an impressive track record of growth, the need has arisen to recruit a Project Manager, to further compliment and add experience to the existing installations management team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking the chance to become part of a forward thinking and progressive organisation.

The Role

The purpose of the project manager is to oversee and manage all aspects of a solar PV / EV project, ensuring successful completion; safely, within budget and on schedule. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders’ pre-construction and during build. It is essential that the applicant has experience of delivering high value projects in sensitive locations, such as working in close proximity to the general public etc. Tasks include managing resources, overseeing project plans and budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations, safety standards and contractual requirements. The project manager will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential risks, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and ensuring the overall success and sustainability of each project.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of the project including preconstruction due diligence planning budgeting implementation and commissioning.

Develop project plans including scope schedule budget and resource allocation.

Coordinate and manage project teams including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.

Maintain accurate project documentation including safety documentation CDM plan drawing packs reports and technical specifications.

Establish and retain open and effective communication with project stakeholders including client’s senior management team and regulatory bodies.

Conducts site assessments and feasibility studies for potential projects.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and permits.

Reviewing and negotiating project contracts and agreements.

Researching and staying up to date on industry developments and advancements.

Identify manage and mitigate potential project risks.

Candidate Profile

You will have proven experience in project management, preferably in the electrical / energy sector, as well as a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and the energy market. You will have experience of delivering high- value projects in sensitive locations, and will necessarily possess excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. You must hold strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and environmental standards, with the ability to identify and solve any potential project setbacks. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities as well as the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Attributes

Project management qualification essential APM, PMI Prince 2.

Knowledge of project management tools and software.

Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.

Strong analytical and organisational skills.

Health and safety qualifications IOSH, managing safely SMSTS etc.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Experience in managing electrical/energy projects and knowledge of renewable energy technologies.

Strong project management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Proven ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
