We’re recruiting for an experienced Security Officer to work at our Head Office in Hillington.

Hours

Part time, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7pm - 7am.

You also must be able to cover holidays, other branches and patrol of Glasgow and surrounding areas and do overtime when required.

About the role

Working within our prestigious Head Office site in Hillington, you will be responsible for making sure our premises are kept secure at all times. You must be able to deal with everyone, from staff to customers to senior management and directors on a daily basis, therefore, you must be professional, honest and trustworthy.

Working closely with the Security department, site managers and the alarm receiving centre, you’ll carry out regular patrols during your shift, reporting any breaches in security as soon as possible. You will also work closely with our Hillington Renault branch and our Group Estates department and be willing to help with any other tasks when required.

This role would suit someone with previous experience. We’re looking for someone who is committed, quick-thinking and enthusiastic, with the ability to work on their own initiative.

Day-to-day duties

• Patrolling all areas of the premises.
• Reporting to management as required on regular intervals during your shift.
• Ensuring the premises and all vehicles remain secured at all times.
• Completing any necessary security checks.
• Reporting any security breaches and insecurities to the relevant parties.
• Liaising with site management and contacting the alarm receiving centre if necessary.
• Dealing with contractors on site as and when necessary.
• Ensuring all staff are registered in the building for health and safety and fire purposes.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as and when required for all departments.

Essential skills

• Previous experience in a similar security role is essential.
• Full UK driving licence 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels of the business.
• The ability to work on your own and liaise remotely with security teams.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to doing a good job.
• A trustworthy, responsible and professional approach.

Nice to have (but not essential)

• Computer knowledge would be useful, but training will be given on internal systems.
