Job description
- Provide accurate, timely and proactive legal advice to colleagues on a variety of legal topics.
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial legal agreements, including confidentiality agreements, supplier and customer contracts, framework agreements, general terms and conditions, warranty agreements, real estate agreements, intellectual property agreements and employment contracts.
- Work cross-functionally, developing strong relationships with other departments (such as Commercial, Purchasing, Quality and Warranty, HR, Finance, Tax and Treasury) to assess and address legal implications in commercial transactions and compliance matters.
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders.
- Instruct and manage external legal advisors as required ensuring cost-effective and timely support.
- Advise on and ensure compliance with data protection laws, regulations, and best practices, including but not limited to GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and other relevant frameworks.
- Provide advice and support on regulatory compliance including bribery, anti-corruption and competition law matters.
- Assist the legal team in designing and delivering training to the business.
- Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the business.
