You’ll be collecting application requirements from some of the world’s most iconic technology companies, then designing solutions by simulating the performance of electronic devices incorporating 2D materials. Your insights will help Paragraf take key business decisions and under your leadership a modelling group may develop.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Meet with customers and attend industry conferences to capture application requirements
- Develop idealised electronic device models against these requirements e.g., transistor, amplifier, modulator
- Manage collection of Paragraf Research, Development and Manufacturing data to refine electronic device models
- Summarise your modelling methods, findings, and conclusions, for internal and external audiences
- Engage in continuous professional development, so the latest modelling techniques are known about, and the best are appropriately deployed
- Document & implement modelling practices, approaches and processes
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
- Higher degree (Masters/PhD) from a leading university in a related field
- Simulation of solid-state physics, from bulk material properties to electronic device performance, including electron and heat transport
- Basic models of essential physics and appropriately developed FEM/FEA simulations of electrical devices and statistical models of systems
- Technology selection balancing technical merit, internal capability and customer requirements
- Working at multiple projects parallel, prioritising appropriately
- Presenting information to audiences with a range of technical ability

- Ability to grasp quickly new scientific concepts and technologies
- Ability to work autonomously in a team
- A strong attention to detail
Communication:
- Ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external contacts
