Job description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Powys to assist with the appointment of a Project Officer, on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay : £316.00 per day PAYE
Responsibilities:
- Develop a working knowledge of the National Trading Standards Intelligence Operating Model and regional/national intelligence structures and use this as a basis for delivering the project.
- Develop and maintain contacts with local Housing and Environmental Health authorities within a local authority region in England.
- Liaise and work with private sector housing and associated teams in a specified region on an ongoing basis to encourage, support and deliver the aims of the project.
- Work with project team colleagues to share good practice and ensure consistency of approach to collaboration between housing teams in their respective regions and with other housing teams across England and other stakeholders such as Police and Trading Standards.
- Represent and promote the work of the project in the media and at events around the country and within the region.
- Explore legacy opportunities for the project, including options for sustainability after the end of the project work in March 2025.
- Work with the team managers to ensure that the project is meeting its strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Qualification at level 5 or above
Required Experience:
- Experience of working in a relevant enforcement or intelligence environment
- Will have delivered projects at a local or regional level
- Experience of collaboration between organisations at a local or regional level
