Job description

Location:     Swansea Head Office, Walter Road – Swansea

Rate of pay: £29,576 – £31,195 (pro-rata)

Other benefits:Company Pension with generous employer’s contribution

Hours per week:            22.5 hours per week (The Participation and Engagement Officer will be required to work 22.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday, but flexibility is required to work outside normal hours on occasion).

As a result of our aim to become a disabled person’s organisation, we are looking to recruit a Participation and Engagement Officer. The Participation and Engagement Officer will work in partnership with the managers in each of the 5 Localities where we deliver our services to make sure the people we support actively involve their relatives so that they:

For this role you will receive a salary of £29,576.32 – £31,195.17 pro rata per annum.

The successful candidate will have experience of organising Community Development activities and participative meetings, they will also have experience of working with individuals and groups at risk of social exclusion and of creating accessible reports and documents. They will be skilled in the use of online tools to support communication and in engaging people in service improvement.
